The charitable organization National Network of Local Philanthropy Development announces a Small Grants Competition within the framework of the Resource Hub project, implemented with the support of Global Giving.
The purpose of the competition is to improve the activities and performance of Community Foundations by providing small grants for the organization of local trainings, study tours, specialized consultations and team-building activities for the development of the Foundations, and the purchase of equipment, if necessary, to improve the functioning of the team.

Community foundations are non-governmental charitable organizations whose purpose is to improve the quality of life of the communities in which they operate. Community foundations that operate by the 7 principles of activity and are members of the National Network for the Development of Local Philanthropy.
Total budget of the competition
The requested grant amount that a team can apply for cannot exceed 75,000 UAH.
A community foundation that meets the requirements for applicants to participate in the competition must submit a completed project proposal of the established sample through the electronic grant application system.
The project proposal must be filled out in Ukrainian.

Deadline for submitting a project proposal: applications are accepted on a regular basis until the competition budget is exhausted.
Project applications will be reviewed by the Competition Commission on a weekly basis.
Descriptive and Financial Reporting
Descriptive and financial reporting for the project, including copies of supporting documents and other attachments, must be submitted once upon the project’s completion, but no later than March 1, 2025.
Reporting is conducted within the framework of communication with the Grant Manager, a representative of the CSO “National Network of Local Philanthropy Development.” Details regarding the format of descriptive and financial reporting will be provided to the competition winners during the grant agreement signing process.
As part of the final reporting, it is necessary to provide photos/videos that may later be used for publishing articles on social media or the organization’s website to showcase the results and impact of projects or competitions organized by the CSO.
By providing such materials, you confirm that you have obtained consent for their distribution from the individuals depicted in the photos or from those who hold the intellectual property rights or other ownership of these materials.
Authorized representatives of the CSO “National Network of Local Philanthropy Development” reserve the right to verify the activities of the competition winner at any time to ensure compliance with the declared project, as well as the consistency of expenses made by the grant recipient with the payments specified in the approved project budget.
In case of identified discrepancies or significant violations of the Agreement or current legislation, whether accidental or intentional, committed by the grant recipient during the project implementation, repeated breaches of ethical communication and business correspondence rules, or evident violations of the organization’s goals, values, and mission, the CSO “National Network of Local Philanthropy Development” reserves the right to suspend project funding and demand the return of previously disbursed funds allocated for the project implementation.

Evaluation for Compliance with Technical Requirements
Evaluation for compliance with technical requirements will be conducted based on the following criteria:
Based on the results of the first evaluation stage, a decision will be made regarding the acceptance or rejection of project proposals for further evaluation.
At the next stage, each approved project proposal will be evaluated by members of a specially established Competition Commission according to the following criteria:

Total: 50 points
Based on the results of the evaluation, the Competition Commission will determine the list of organizations that will be awarded grants. The decision of the Competition Commission will serve as the basis for the CSO “National Network for Local Philanthropy Development” to draft and sign agreements with the competition winners for the provision of the corresponding funding.
The decision of the Competition Commission is final. The decision on the competition winners is not subject to review or appeal.
In the case of rejection, the Competition Commission and/or representatives of the CSO “National Network for Local Philanthropy Development” may provide feedback upon request, which should be directed to the grant manager.
Negotiations and Agreement Signing
Additional negotiations will be held with the winning organizations to revise their projects, taking into account the comments made by the Competition Commission. Once the applications are revised, the grant recipient organization will sign an agreement with the CSO “National Network for Local Philanthropy Development” for the provision of targeted funding.
Grant Disbursement
The grant amount will be transferred in a single installment to the grant recipient organization’s current bank account.
