Other opportunities
Operate in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
Other opportunities
Meet the mandatory and acquired criteria.

Mandatory Criteria

Territorial Affiliation

A community foundation must operate within a clearly defined territory (city, village, community, district, or region) and reflect this in its organizational documents.

Independence

The organization must not be financially or informationally dependent on political parties, religious institutions, or businesses (except for sponsorship agreements).

Transparency

A community foundation is required to publish annual reports containing information on income and expenditures, program and project results. If the organization lacks its own web resources, the report can be published on the website of the NGO "Philanthropists."

Acquired Criteria

Resource Mobilization at the Local Level

The foundation attracts funds from local sources such as businesses, private donations, and the diaspora. Additionally, it can offer services to local, national, and international donors/philanthropists willing to support initiatives within the community.

Community Research

The foundation initiates research on community needs and available resources. The findings are used to develop targeted programs.

Support for Other Civil Society Organizations and Initiatives

The foundation helps develop local organizations through training, mentorship, and financial support (grants).

Governance Structure

The foundation is managed by a board of respected community members representing all sectors of society. It is recommended that, in addition to an administrative team, the foundation has a governing board and a supervisory board, including representatives of local government, activists, donors, prominent community members, and minority representatives.

How to Apply?

If your organization meets these criteria, please submit a package of documents to info@philanthropy.com.ua.

Applications are reviewed every three months. The next meetings will take place in March and June 2025.

Required Documents
  • Completed application form.
  • Application letter addressed to the Chair of the Board.
  • Organization’s charter.
  • Annual report confirming compliance with the criteria.
  • Agreement to adhere to the program’s terms (in free form).
  • If available – a recommendation letter from a current network member.

We don’t have separate programs for external organizations, but our experts can provide consultations upon request. Our team includes specialists in localization, philanthropy, organizational development, fundraising, and communications.
