The Dobrobut Community Foundation of Dubno City is launching a support program for social initiatives by active community residents. Participants will undergo two days of training in civic engagement and project management, after which they will develop and submit their own social project ideas for funding. The three best initiatives will receive financial support for realisation.
The purpose of the project is to strengthen citizens’ ability to create and implement social initiatives in their communities. We strive to provide participants with knowledge, practical tools, and resource support to implement socially beneficial ideas.
Many active people have ideas for improving life in their communities, yet they lack project management knowledge and financial support. As a result, promising social initiatives often remain at the conceptual stage and are not implemented.
The Community Foundation is organising an intensive two-day training programme, during which participants will gain basic knowledge of civic activism, planning, budgeting, and project management. After the training, they will prepare their own project applications and present them to the selection committee. The three best ideas will receive funding for realisation. The funds raised will be used to organise the training (materials, coaches’ fees, facility rental) and to finance the winning social projects.
The project will contribute to the formation of an active community of people capable of independently initiating and implementing changes. The implemented social initiatives will have a positive impact on community development and will serve as an example for other residents. In the long term, this will increase public participation and trust in society.
