‘Meeting for Change”: business, NGOs, local authorities

“First and foremost, in any field, we work with people, and that is something we should always remember.”

— Zhanna Solovyova, Chair of the Board of the Zhytomyr Community Foundation

“Meeting for Change” once again brought together people who are ready to work and develop our country together.

This time, we sought common ground between local authorities, the civic sector, and businesses.

During the panel discussions, we explored the challenges that representatives of these sectors face in their interactions and discussed possible solutions. Panelists shared their insights on how to establish effective partnerships between businesses, the civic sector, and local governments.

Here are some key takeaways from the event:

  • “For sustainable interaction between businesses and the civic sector, mutual understanding and trust are essential. Systems need to clearly understand who is responsible for what.”
    — Ivetta Delikatna, Partner at ECOMM Communication Consulting, Advisor to the Minister of Information Policy (2015-2017)
  • “When a partner communicates with you, it’s also important to explore what matters to their organization or to them personally. This helps build a more effective collaboration from the outset, as you offer something that truly resonates with them.”
    — Yuliia Kokoiachuk, Head of the Minister of Social Policy’s Office
  • “For me, a good partnership is about trust—whether it’s in an organization, a business representative, or a civic initiative. Openness is often lacking. We all work hard, but sometimes we need to be more human—people for people.”
    — Olha Lekova, Representative of the social enterprise Recast Plastic

We aim to continue fostering new and effective partnerships, so follow our pages to stay updated on future events!
