Orange is the official color of the fight against domestic violence, symbolizing a bright and violence-free future. It is also the official color of the global campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,” which is observed annually from November 25 to December 10. Each year, the international community supports this initiative.
This year, representatives of the Voznesensk Community Foundation and the Youth Initiative Bank gathered the leaders of student self-government in the Voznesensk community for a roundtable discussion with a unifying goal: educating young people on measures to prevent domestic and gender-based violence.
The event took place on December 3. Participants discussed the urgency of the issue and created the symbol of the “Orange Wave.” This accessory serves as a reminder that only zero tolerance for violence can help prevent it and that it is important to speak up and not remain indifferent.
