Mission:
The Sarny Community Foundation serves as a bridge between the initiatives of local residents and the resources needed to implement them — financial, expert, and organizational. Its primary goal is to create conditions where useful, creative, and socially significant ideas can be supported, developed, and implemented as effectively as possible. By combining a professional approach, local context, and community trust, the Foundation ensures sustainable change and builds a strong, proactive, and responsible society.
Key areas of activity:
- Social Support: Implementing initiatives that assist vulnerable groups, including internally displaced persons, persons with disabilities, children, and those in difficult life circumstances,
- Education: Developing educational programs, promoting non-formal education, and supporting school-based, youth, and civic initiatives. Example: the “Save a Life” project provided over 200 people with basic first aid training,
- Culture: Preserving and promoting local heritage, supporting artistic events and creators, and fostering the community's cultural identity,
- Volunteering: Engaging residents in civic initiatives, building local volunteer hubs, and developing mutual aid platforms,
- Ecology: Supporting environmental initiatives, raising eco-awareness, and implementing practical environmental actions,
- Economic Resilience: Promoting local entrepreneurship by sharing success stories (e.g., the “Simply. People” project), building business communities, and motivating young people to start their own ventures.
