In each territorial community of Galicia, there are sustainable public structures that interact with the Ridnia Foundation, which develops local philanthropy, attracts external funding and operates financial resources at the level of development budgets within its area of influence
Doing good deeds is our job and we love doing it. We also manage to infect people with it, to teach them how to do it. Sooner or later, a person will think about what good I have done in this world, who I have helped. A person who does a good deed is healthy, joyful and happy. They have incredible energy and magnetism.
До такої людини тягнуться інші, хочуть бути з нею, їм комфортно. Недарма закордоном приділяють цьому увагу ще змалечку…
On the one hand, we collect donations from thousands of community members. For this purpose, we have created a volunteer network to maintain 400 charity boxes and collect donations from from community residents. In addition, we use other tools to collect donations: we create charitable corporate and personalized funds, charitable events, including auctions, Generous Tuesdays, Traditional Clothing Day, book drives and breakfasts. Over the past three years, almost UAH 800 thousand of donations have been collected.
On the other hand, we announce a competition for public social projects, and the winners, selected by independent experts, receive financial support to implement their ideas from funds raised from donors. Nine such competitions have already been held. Starting in 2021, we intend to hold such competitions twice a year and create our own electronic platform for co-funding. Over the past three years, we have supported more than 80 projects from community members
We form an Endowment, which allows us to employ four employees of the foundation. This creates a significant capacity of the foundation. We have the opportunity to initiate a whole number of activities that, in our opinion, will be able to activate communities and help to form the responsibility of residents for the quality of life in their communities.
On the one hand, we are actively improving the professional level of the foundation's employees, who are constantly taking advantage of opportunities to learn and get new opportunities to be innovative.
On the other hand, we cooperate with local authorities to help them adopt development strategies and community charters, and mentor local NGOs in preparing project applications to increase their capacity and implement their plans.
We operate in two programs of the Foundation: “Community Development” and ‘Good Host’.
“Good Farmer” is a program designed to educate community residents about modern and effective agricultural technologies. The program includes seminars and conferences for community residents. The practical goal of the program is to create a cooperative with 1,000 members to grow crops by 2023.
“Community Development is a program of communication with communities to identify their needs, jointly find ways to address them, and engage residents in active participation in reducing existing problems in the communities. To do this, we present the Foundation's capabilities in the communities, apply them in a particular community, and provide mentoring to gain practical experience, and fund local initiatives through targeted projects.
