In 2024, ten organizations embarked on an independent assessment process to become the first members of the Ukrainian NGO Fund. During this stage, they underwent a thorough review of internal controls and policies to demonstrate their ability to manage funding effectively and prevent any misuse of resources.
The assessment process is now complete, and here are the results:
Seven organizations have officially joined the Fund.
Five organizations passed a due diligence review by a UK-based provider, achieving the second level of organizational development, granting them access to:
- £50,000 for Early Recovery projects
- £40,000 for Emergency Response
Two organizations obtained the first level of organizational development, gaining access to up to £10,000 for capacity building.
What’s next?
Fund membership is a prerequisite for participating in the grant competition, which provides funding opportunities for organizations. This marks another step toward building a sustainable funding mechanism for local initiatives and enhancing their capacity to respond to humanitarian challenges.
