Help Ukrainians Provide Food for Their Families!

Olena Kushnir is a participant in our project and a mother of nine children. She is now expecting her tenth child, and every garden bed matters to her. Thanks to the support she received, Olena is setting up high raised garden beds, installing a drip irrigation system, and preparing to build a greenhouse. Now her children will have even more fresh vegetables and berries, grown with care for their health.

“Harvest Path” is a charitable initiative launched in 2023 in cooperation with Robert Bosch Stiftung and continued with the support of Fondation de France. Its main goal is to help residents of Ukrainian communities grow their own food on household plots, thereby providing food security for themselves and their families amid the war and economic instability.

Since the full-scale Russian invasion, food security has become a critical issue for thousands of Ukrainian families. Due to rising prices, job losses, and limited access to quality food, many people found themselves unable to afford even basic food products.

This is why we created “Harvest Path” –  a support platform for those ready to grow food for themselves, their families, and their communities. We provide not only knowledge but also resources. The project covers 25 communities across Ukraine. In each community, we cooperate with local community foundations, which understand people’s needs and work daily to restore trust, connections, and opportunities.

Our approach is comprehensive. First, we conduct training workshops where participants learn about modern growing methods, organic farming, crop planning, and greenhouse care. After training, participants can apply for targeted financial support. The funds can be used for anything related to gardening: greenhouses, seeds, seedlings, equipment, tools, fertilizers, irrigation systems, or vertical garden beds.

Today, “Harvest Path” has a long-term impact on the development of communities and families in Ukraine, helping them feel more secure during wartime by ensuring their own food supply. So far, the project has supported 152 families and held 20 training sessions on effective and ecological farming, reaching over 2,000 participants.

Our goal is to increase the number of supported families in communities, and that is why we need your help. Every donation you make is a direct contribution to:

  • €25 – seeds for one family for the entire season
  • €100 – assistance for building one mobile greenhouse

Ukraine needs not only immediate humanitarian aid but also long-term support for food security.
