Podilska Hromada Presented Security Initiatives

The Podilska Hromada Community Foundation team took part in the international Europe Civil Security Forum, which recently took place in Warsaw.

During the forum, the Foundation’s Director Olena Danilova and Program Director Myroslava Zhylina presented successful examples of security projects implemented in the Vinnytsia community in partnership with the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Vinnytsia Oblast and the Vinnytsia City Council. Among the showcased initiatives:

  • equipping shelters in educational institutions, residential buildings (OSBBs), and public spaces;

  • purchasing specialized equipment for high-altitude rescue workers responding to rubble after explosions;

  • installing 10 modern fire hydrants in public areas for rapid emergency response.

The main goal of participating in the forum was to strengthen partnerships aimed at addressing security challenges faced by communities in wartime conditions. The Foundation team took part in both the exhibition space and thematic discussions, including:

  • early warning and evacuation systems;

  • international cooperation during crises;

  • safety of educational institutions in conflict zones;

  • the role of private businesses in ensuring community safety;

  • development of a civil protection officer institute.

Ukraine has much to share — and the Foundation team is proud to do so at the international level.

The forum was supported by the European Commission through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM).
