“MedAid” Special Fund

Special Fund “MedAid”

Project Goal:
The MedAid Fund aims to equip hospitals, social institutions, and assist residents of Ukraine with essential medical equipment, medicines, and emergency support for healthcare facilities in communities where Ukrainian community foundations are active.

Thanks to the fund’s support, grants have been made available to community foundations in Ukraine, and medical equipment is being procured for hospitals based on requests from local communities. These include: basic and specialized medicines, hospital beds, hygiene products, bandaging materials, baby formula, consumables for various hospital departments (such as dialysis and perinatal care), wheelchairs, crutches, and functional beds.

This project supports medical institutions in Kherson, a frontline city suffering from regular attacks that damage critical infrastructure. The disruption of energy supply severely impacts hospitals that perform surgeries daily and rely on continuous electricity. The Kherson Community Foundation “Zakhyst” is implementing several initiatives to provide uninterrupted power to these hospitals.

Participating Community Foundations:

  • “Podilska gromada” Community Fund (Vinnytsia)
  • Public Organization “Community Development Fund of Ukraine”
  • Voznesensk Community Foundation
